Ireland From One Estate — Your Questions

Are there all-inclusive resorts in Ireland?
Very few. Ireland has lovely castle hotels and country house hotels, but almost none include every meal, and none give a group a place to itself. For most groups, the closest thing to an all-inclusive resort in Ireland is a private estate with a chef: at Ballinderry Park your group has the houses to itself, the chef cooks breakfast and dinner every day, and day trips and airport transfers are arranged for you, each priced per person on the same quote.
What is included, and what is extra?
Your stay covers the accommodation, a chef-cooked breakfast every morning and dinner every night (take any meal out and the price drops), the hot tub, the grounds and the private bar space. The sample stays also include a driver-guided day trip on each touring day. In the planner, day trips by luxury coach, airport transfers and experiences like whiskey tasting or a murder mystery night are yours to add or remove, each priced per person and itemised on your quote, in euro. Flights are not included — that is the one thing you book yourselves.
How much is an all-inclusive trip to Ireland?
It depends on group size, nights and what you add, which is why the planner on this page prices it live. The sample stays show a live per-person price for a family of 8 for three and four nights, and for a full week for up to 50, with every meal cooked and a day trip on each touring day. Bigger groups and weekday stays bring the price per person down.
Can we take meals out and cook ourselves?
Yes. Every breakfast and dinner starts included, and you can remove any of them in the planner. The Coach House has a full kitchen, so plenty of groups keep the chef for most nights and cook together, or go out in Galway city, on one or two.
Who is this for?
Any group of 4 to 50 who want a private base in the west of Ireland: family reunions, groups of friends, multi-generation holidays, touring parties, and milestone celebrations with a week around them. Each house is yours alone; exclusive use of the whole estate can be added when you book.
What does a week cost?
Build your own trip in the planner on this page and it prices live per person. The Three Nights in the West card is the starting point most groups from abroad choose: Monday to Thursday with a chef-cooked breakfast and dinner every day, a day at the Cliffs of Moher and a day in Connemara with a driver-guide, and the weekday rate on accommodation. The four-night card adds a day; the Grand Gathering prices a full week for up to 50. Accommodation, catering, tours and transfers are itemised, so you only pay for what you choose.
Which airport should we fly into?
Shannon is about 1 hour 20 minutes away and has direct flights from Boston, New York, Chicago and more. Dublin is about 1 hour 45 minutes and has the most US routes. Knock, Ireland West, is the closest at about an hour. Our coach partner meets any of them, and a group arriving on different flights can be collected in two runs.
Do we need to rent cars?
Not if you do not want to. Fahy Coaches, a family firm founded in 1955 ten minutes from the estate, run the airport transfers and the day trips in luxury coaches from 16 to 53 seats with a driver who knows the roads. You can still rent a car or two for freedom, and there is free parking for everyone.
Why do you keep mentioning midweek?
Because it is the better trip and the better price. Our weekends are usually held for weddings and celebrations, so a midweek stay is when the estate is quietest (and when exclusive use is easiest to add), the roads and the attractions are quieter, and the weekday discount comes off accommodation automatically. The planner on this page shows every date live. Minimum stay is three nights, and we take groups of four or more.
What does the chef cook?
Cooked Irish breakfasts, and dinners in three styles: Rustic, Select or Premium, plus barbecues and afternoon tea. Your plan starts on the house breakfast and dinner every day; upgrade any night to Select or Premium, and tell us about allergies and dietary needs when you enquire.
Does it work for grandparents and small children?
Yes. The Manor House and Coach House have ground-floor bedrooms, the houses are steps apart across a lawn, and the glamping village is for those who want it, not those who do not. Tell us about mobility needs and ages when you enquire and we will allocate rooms accordingly.
What is the weather like, and when should we come?
May to September is best for the coast and the gardens, with long evenings until ten in June and July. Ireland is mild all year and rarely hot; pack layers and a rain jacket whatever the month. For a summer trip, enquire nine to twelve months ahead. Weekday weeks are far easier to secure than weekends.
How do payments work from abroad?
Prices are in euro. A deposit secures the dates, the balance is paid closer to the stay, and every payment is by card or bank transfer through a secure link. One organiser can pay, or the booking can be split so each household pays its own share.
Can you help us find where the family came from?
Yes. Give us the surnames and whatever you know, and we arrange a local genealogist to research the East Galway records and meet you on a roots day, with the coach taking you to the townland and graveyard.
Is there Wi-Fi, and can we bring a dog?
Wi-Fi throughout, and yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Ask when you enquire.
