Midweek Breaks — Your Questions

How much cheaper is midweek?
The weekday rate comes off the accommodation on every night from Sunday to Thursday, automatically, on the quote and on the invoice. The comparison on this page prices the same package as a weekend and as a midweek stay for your group size, so you can see the difference in euro rather than a percentage. Meals, experiences and days out are priced per person and do not change.
What is the minimum stay and group size?
Two nights midweek, from six guests. A family or a group of friends of six to twelve takes the Coach House; a bigger party takes the Manor House as well, and up to fifty across the whole estate with the glamping village in summer. The price per guest works from the group size, so the planner shows exactly what your number costs.
Is it self-catering or catered?
Either, night by night. Both houses have full kitchens, and the chef cooks breakfasts, lunches and Rustic, Select or Premium dinners at the long table, priced per person. Most midweek breaks do one or two chef nights and one night in their own kitchen. Tell us about allergies and small eaters with the booking and the chef plans around them.
Which house do we get?
The one that fits. Up to twelve, the Coach House, with its own kitchen, bar and terrace. Above that, the Manor House too, and the glamping pods in the warmer months. The hot tub, the grounds and the gardens are yours whichever house you are in, because nobody else is on the estate.
Can we bring the dog?
By arrangement, yes. Tell us with the booking. There are 41 acres, a river and no road, and a dog-friendly package with beds and bowls is a catalogue item on the quote.
What is there to do midweek?
On the estate: the hot tub, the grounds, a bonfire, a Murder Mystery night, Garden to Table with the chef, whiskey or cheese and wine tastings, and lawn games for the kids. Off it: the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Connemara and Galway City, all a coach ride away and all noticeably quieter on a Tuesday. A coach and driver for the day is a catalogue item, or drive yourselves.
How do we get there?
Ballinasloe, County Galway: 30 minutes from Galway, 1 hour 45 from Dublin, on the M6. Dublin Airport is about 1 hour 45 by road, Shannon 1 hour 20 and Knock an hour, and our coach partner collects from any of them. Free parking for everyone.
How does booking work?
Build the break in the planner on this page and it prices live per person. A deposit secures the dates by card through a secure link, the balance is due before the stay, and everything lands on one itemised invoice. Send a rooming list and any access needs and we allocate the bedrooms.
Why is everything Sunday to Thursday?
Weekends here go to weddings and celebrations, so the middle of the week is when a family or a group of friends can take a whole house on a private estate, and the weekday discount is our thank-you for coming when the roads and the Cliffs are quiet. A Sunday night counts as midweek. The calendar on this page shows live availability.
