The 41-acre grounds at Ballinderry Park — room for dogs to roam

Bring the Dog

Dog-Friendly
Accommodation in Ireland

A Georgian country estate near Galway where your dog is genuinely welcome — and 41 acres of road-free grounds to prove it.

Ballinderry Park is dog-friendly accommodation in the truest sense — a 300-year-old Georgian estate in East County Galway where dogs are welcomed, not just permitted. Bring your dog to the self-catering Coach House, a room in the main house or a glamping pod, and let them loose across 41 acres of woodland, parkland and walled garden with not a road in sight. It is pet-friendly accommodation built for the way people actually travel — with the whole family, dog included.

Ways to Stay With Your Dog

Three dog-friendly options on one estate — for a couple, a family or a group of up to fifty, every one of them welcomes the dog.

41 Acres for Your Dog to Roam

The best thing about a dog-friendly stay here is the space. The estate runs to 41 acres of woodland, parkland and walled garden, set well back from any road — so your dog can walk, run and explore safely off the lead. Quiet country lanes and trails into the Suck Valley start at the gate, and Galway has dog-friendly beaches and forest parks within easy reach for bigger days out.

Dogs Welcomed, Not Just Tolerated

Plenty of places say “pet-friendly” and mean a single room and a list of rules. Here, dogs are simply part of estate life — welcome in the grounds and the accommodation, fires to flop by and fields to tire themselves out in. If you have any specific questions — several dogs, an older dog, anything at all — just ask us when you enquire and we will sort it.

Why Dog Owners Love It Here

41 road-free acres

Woodland, walled garden and parkland with no through-traffic — your dog can walk, sniff and run without a road in sight.

Welcomed, not tolerated

Dogs are part of the place here, not an awkward exception. They are welcome in the grounds and the accommodation alike.

Fires to flop in front of

Woodburning stoves and open fires — the perfect spot for a tired dog to dry off and settle after a day in the fields.

Walks from the door

Step straight out into the Suck Valley countryside — quiet lanes and trails start at the gate, no driving required.

Room for the whole pack

From a room for two to whole-house hire for 50, there is space for the family, the friends and the dogs together.

Galway nearby

Galway city is about 45 minutes away, with dog-friendly beaches and trails across the county for bigger days out.

“The most beautiful, welcoming place we've ever stayed”

We had the BEST weekend at Ballinderry House! Rowan and Joel went above and beyond — Joel actually created a full murder mystery party for us, complete with characters, clues, and a completely decked-out main house. It was so thoughtful and creative, and we had an absolute blast.

From the whimsical artwork to the ample gardens, Ballinderry Park was a treat through and through. Upon our arrival, Rowan started a fire in both outdoor and indoor fireplaces and invited us to use all of the amenities of this lovely B and B.

We had a fantastic weekend. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding — the ratatouille on the first night and the roast dinner the next day were both delicious. The views were breathtaking.

I stayed here for a weekend with friends for a board game event. It was an incredible venue for it. Many rooms, and big tables, and we were kept warm and cosy throughout. The facilities were perfect.

This is a great spot. The house and grounds are beautiful, we were given really nice home cooked food. The common spaces were large enough for a group, comfortable and warm due to the log burning stove.

I stayed here for a stag do with a group of lads. The hosts provided dinners on Friday and Saturday and a fully stocked kitchen. It is a fantastic old manor house but is modernized with all mod cons and the grounds are beautiful.
